APPOINTMENT: Please attend appointments on time. Extra time is required between each dog groom to deep clean and disinfect the groom room and all equipment. To adhere to the government guidelines we must keep to a strict time frame. Please follow the DROP OFF and PICK UP procedure outlined below.
CANCELLATIONS and NO SHOWS: If you need to cancel your appointment please give at least 48hrs notice. If less than 48hrs or you fail to turn up (NO SHOW) you will be charged the full price of the groom before re-booking.
DROP OFF: Please arrive for your appointment at the correct time.  Late DROP OFF of 15 minutes or more, the groom will be CANCELLED and you will be charged the full price before re-booking.  Phone or ring the bell and wait outside the main gate, You will be asked two questions:
1. Are you showing any symptoms of coronavirus?
2. Have you been in contact with anyone showing symptoms of coronavirus in the last 7 days?
If you answer YES to either of these questions, to protect you, the community and my safety, the groom will be CANCELLED and you will be charged the full price before re-booking. If you are coronavirus free you will be asked to wait within the garden vestibule.   Please use the HAND SANITISER provided and lock the main gate to prevent more than one person entering. Please take your dogs collar, lead, harness, coat off to take home and put the slip lead on. Open the garden vestibule small gate and guide your dog into the garden.  You must stay within the garden vestibule behind the small gate, I will take your dog into the groom room.  Please use the HAND SANITISER provided BEFORE unlocking the main gate to LEAVE.
PICK UP: Contact will be made with you 20 mins before your dog is ready and amount due advised. You will be required to return within that time to allow time to adhere to the government guidelines of deep cleaning and disinfecting of the groom room and all equipment before the next client.  Late PICK UP of 15 minutes or over will be charged £5 extra for each 15 minutes.  On arrival phone or ring the bell and wait within the garden vestibule.  Please use the HAND SANITISER provided and lock the main gate to prevent more than one person entering.  Open the small gate and I will RELEASE your dog to make his/her way back to you to put their collar and lead back on.  Please use the HAND SANITISER provided BEFORE unlocking the main gate to LEAVE.
PAYMENT: Full payment must be made preferably by bank transfer, BEFORE returning to PICK UP your dog.   If cash is to be used please place the CORRECT amount in an envelope or small bag. I will not be able to give change.
GROOM: PPE will be worn throughout the groom and disinfected between clients.  All dogs need to go straight into the bath so please make sure you have brushed and combed them thoroughly before attending your appointment.  Customers of dogs requiring a full clip off due to matting and poor coat condition will be contacted and advised accordingly. You will be charged £10 extra on top of the quoted groom price.   Not only does matting cause discomfort to your dog, resulting in a difficult and lengthy groom, it also causes excessive wear and tear to my equipment.
If your dog does not need urgent attention please advise this at initial contact and a later date can be arranged for you. This allows a dog in a more desperate condition to be offered the earlier slot.
Nail Clipping: PPE will be worn when cutting nails and disinfected between clients.  Dogs needing just nail clipping will be offered an appointment as the final booking of the day.   As your dog is not being bathed their coat will be wiped down with Leucillin, a pet safe antiseptic which is effective against the spread of coronavirus.
Thank you for your consideration and support

Further to the announcement that the lockdown has been extended a further 3 weeks, I’m sorry but I have to remain closed.

I know your dogs coat will be getting long and a bit unruly and you may be concerned they could get overheated.

Before you get too concerned their coat is causing him/her to sweat, remember that nature put all that hair there for a reason (well, that and the fact dogs don’t sweat).

A good brush and comb down to the skin every day after their walk is all that’s needed to help keep them cool, knot, matt free and comfy.

By brushing and combing your dog every day, you help get rid of the fluffy undercoat, stop knots from developing and allow air to circulate around the dog’s skin, which is one of your dog’s natural cooling mechanisms.

Helping your dog shed their undercoat can also help the skin stay drier, which in turn can help prevent knots, matting, skin complications from insect bites and hot spots.

So while it may be hard to imagine how all that fur could actually be keeping your dog cool, remember that dogs don’t sweat anywhere other than their nose and paws and they shed excess heat through panting.

Hope this of help but if you need any advice please feel free to message or ring me. As soon as I get the green light I’ll be in touch and book an appointment for you.

In the meantime, Take care, stay safe and enjoy spending time with your families, fur-babies and the lovely sunshine.

Love and best wishes from me, Evie and nervous boy Flynn

Covid 19

23rd March 2020

Really sorry and very sad to write this but as we are now in lockdown I have to close the little groom room until further notice.
Keep up with regular brushing and combing your furbabies coats to keep those knots/mats away.
I will miss you all but hopefully it won’t be too long before we see each other again.
Stay safe, well and positive.
Best wishes to you all, Deborah 🥰🐕 xx

Gorgeous, giddy girl Misty just loves chasing Evie + Flynn round the little groom room.  Such a funny little treasure. Misty_31Aug19

Gorgeous Cookie had a lot of knots and mats so had to do a shorter style this time but he’s still gorgeous, handsome and happy but not keen on having his photo taken 💗
